A fundamental uncertainty surrounds AI. ‘What will it do?’ ‘How far will it go?’ ‘Can we control it?’ Assuming that, once enough intelligence is gained, independent action will follow. That was true for Adam and the human race, but will it also be true for AI? The desire/will/intent to create AI/AGI is the ultimate divine act, that is, to create and cultivate entities like ourselves. It is the ultimate transgression.

For most Christians today, ‘the heavens’ that God created includes the vast emptiness of space — of stars, galaxies, quasars, black holes, etc, of which the Genesis account offers only the briefest of accounts. But is ‘space’ – how it’s commonly understood now – what Genesis is referring to by ‘the heavens?’ Do you want to hear a secret? The biggest lies are the ones that create entire false realities, and ‘space’ appears to be one of them.

Here in March 2021 in America, most churches are still either shut down entirely, or, if they are meeting in person, meet with a reduced capacity, or meet virtually or by virtue of a livestream broadcast, or a combination thereof. Very few have reopened to pre-pandemic occupancy; most continue to follow their state or local government’s emergency health orders.
After an entire year, why do churches continue to follow these health orders?
Simply put, it’s faith — but not faith in God. Rather, it’s faith in the institutions of government, media and medicine . . .
