And my personal favorite —

“Wearing is Caring”

Here in July 2020, the political and social pressure to wear a mask has grown to enormous proportions. Millions of taxpayer money is being spent on sophisticated marketing campaigns to convince you of one thing — if you really care, you should wear a mask.

A choice NOT to wear one is suddenly assumed to be a political statement: “There goes a Trump supporter!” (which I am not); and under the breath: “. . . you arrogant, selfish, pathetic slob! How hard is it to put on a mask for five minutes like the rest of us?! You’re going to give me the COVID!”

Before you decide that “Dave has gone too far; his paranoia is now obvious for all to see. We all know that masks are NO BIG DEAL” — NO, please hear me out!

Yes, on the one hand, masks are no big deal. I’ve worn them and will wear them again (in particular scenarios, more on that later). But I will NOT wear one passively.

But I also know that many of you must wear a mask or lose your job; I may end up in that same boat myself one day. In those cases, wearing one is unavoidable and understandable.

In all of the reasons I cite here, the main point is this:

Acquiescence to wearing a mask is submission to lying authority and may weaken our ability to be faithful to God.

That’s why I will resist the mask calmly and carefully, yet firmly, whenever and wherever I can.

Now for a few qualifications:

  • For occasions where I will be in close contact with an immuno-compromised person who is afraid, I will not exacerbate his or her fear by being bare-faced. I will defer; it is the respectful and considerate and loving thing to do.
  • For occasions and venues where wearing a mask is required to use the product or service and I legitimately need it, such as flying in an airplane or riding a bus, I will wear a mask to enter, but then will remove it once in my seat if at all possible.
  • One note on the commonly-used scripture in Romans chapter 14: This passage is used to justify mask wearing and other COVID precautions, to ‘love your neighbor.’ But I do not believe mask wearing or social distancing are practices that qualify in the sense that Romans 14 teaches. The practices that Paul speaks of in this passage are ‘religious practices,’ — vegetarianism (‘eats only vegetables,’ vs 14:2) and Sabbath-keeping (‘esteems one day above another . . ,’ vs 14:5), and perhaps refraining from eating food sacrificed to idols. Paul uses these practices as examples because they are, in themselves, considered to be practices observed ‘to the Lord.’ Here is that passage:

He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it. He who eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he who does not eat, to the Lord he does not eat, and gives God thanks. — Romans 14:6

So since mask-wearing and the like are not in themselves recognized as practices observed ‘to the Lord,’ they are not practices in the scope of the context. Therefore we should not use this passage to justify masks, social distancing, etc.

  • This article lists my own reasons for not wearing a mask, but I do not presume to know your own situation. I cannot tell you what to do. That decision is yours. I am not saying wearing a mask is wrong or sinful. But I do believe that it may be unwise. Nevertheless I list these reasons for your consideration and prayer. Each one of us must decide what to do.

Eight reasons I will not wear a mask whenever and wherever possible

1  Wearing a mask is acquiescence to a lie

This is the primary reason. The COVID-19 pandemic is a massive, world-wide deception perpetrated by the medical industrial complex.[1] In October 2019, a table-top exercise called Event 201[2] simulated nearly the same scenario that actually happened three months later. The players in that simulation were the same ones later involved in the pandemic. In a matter of weeks, the entire world was locked down because medical officials in the WHO and CDC and other governmental agencies told us that the novel SARS-CoV-2 virus was causing widespread disease and death.

And here in July 2020, COVID-19 still incites wall-to-wall news and propaganda. Practically every country in the world is marching in lock-step to a new kind of tyranny: health terror.

Georgio Agamben, the Italian philosopher and author described it this way:

What is striking about the reactions to the apparatuses of exception[3] that have been put in place in our country (and not only in this one) is the inability to observe them beyond the immediate context in which they seem to operate. Rare are those who attempt to interpret them as symptoms and signs of a broader experiment — as any serious political analysis would require — in which what is at stake is a new paradigm for the governance of men and things . . . At issue is nothing less than the creation of a sort of “health terror” as an instrument for governing what are called “worst case scenarios.” . . .  Zylberman shows that the apparatus being suggested was articulated in three points: 1) the construction, on the basis of a possible risk, of a fictitious scenario in which data are presented in such a way as to promote behaviors that allow for governing an extreme situation; 2) the adoption of the logic of the worst as a regime of political rationality; 3) the total organization of the body of citizens in a way that strengthens maximum adherence to institutions of government, producing a sort of superlative good citizenship in which imposed obligations are presented as evidence of altruism and the citizen no longer has a right to health (health safety) but becomes juridically obliged to health (biosecurity). . . . It is evident that, apart from the emergency situation, linked to a certain virus that may in the future be replaced by another, at issue is the design of a paradigm of governance whose efficacy will exceed that of all forms of government known thus far in the political history of the West. If already, in the progressive decline of ideologies and political beliefs, security reasons allowed citizens to accept limitations on their liberty that they previously were unwilling to accept, biosecurity has shown itself capable of presenting the absolute cessation of all political activity and all social relations as the maximum form of civic participation.[4]

It’s beyond the scope of this article to go into any detail to prove the pandemic is a deception. But there’s plenty of evidence if you’re willing to look for it. There’s plenty of misinformation too.

It’s like this: Let’s say the media started reporting that people were dying mysterious deaths at night just outside their homes, apparently by alien monsters, and the only way to be safe was to not go out at night. Then if the governor ordered a sunup-to-sundown curfew, would you be afraid to go out at night? Would you trust the government implicitly? Or would you use your own mind to try to determine for yourself whether it was true?

‘That’s too far-fetched to believe!’

True, but let’s compare the two scenarios, shall we?

Is it really that much different to believe in a deadly virus than to believe in an alien monster?

  • Both expect you to implicitly trust in governing authorities.
  • Both require you to believe in something you cannot see.
  • Both virus and monster are menacing and will kill you if given the chance.
  • Both have a mysterious, murky origin.
  • And in both cases, only a few people are qualified to actually see or detect them, and therefore only those few are qualified to tell everyone else what they must do to protect themselves.

Suffice it to say, there’s plenty of evidence that things are not what they appear to be.

It’s the perfect cover to bring in more government control. I, for one, do not want any part of it. Passive wearing of a mask is weak-willed acquiescence to veiled tyranny. Sure, it’s just a mask, but it’s the, ‘give ’em an inch and they’ll take a mile’ principle.

2  Even if the pandemic were true[5], a mask will not protect me.

This is easily provable. The following quote is taken from the OSHA website:

Cloth face coverings[6]: . . .

Will not protect the wearer against airborned transmissable infectious agents due to loose fit and lack of seal or inadequate filtration.[7]

Enough said.

3  Even if the pandemic were true, my mask will not protect YOU either.

This is the big reason we’re all being shamed to wear one: ‘wearing is caring’ etc. But let’s look at OSHA’s guidance on this also:

Cloth Face Coverings:

May be commercially produced or improvised (i.e., homemade) garments, scarves, bandanas, or items made from t-shirts or other fabrics.

Are worn in public over the nose and mouth to contain the wearer’s potentially infectious respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or talks and to limit the spread of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), to others.

And this from the mainstream publication The Conversation:

But even so, the most optimistic estimates suggest that cloth coverings only have a minor effect on your chances of breathing in (or expelling) droplets containing a virus. A small study of 21 healthy people concluded that a “homemade mask should only be considered as a last resort to prevent droplet transmission from infected individuals, but it would be better than no protection”.

Although additive effects (combining with physical distancing, frequent hand washing and avoiding crowded spaces) should be considered, the benefits are further complicated by factors such as material type, number of layers, fit, face shape, frequency of adjusting, facial hair and the effect of having a moist and increasingly dirty piece of cloth over your face.

So from the scientific perspective, the evidence does seem fairly clear: a well-designed mask combined with the right safety equipment and behaviour has a protective effect, but homemade cloth face masks are simply too variable to be relied on for protection of yourself or others.[8]

And this from Dr. John Lee, former professor of pathology and NHS consultant pathologist (19 April, 2020):

When a person is infectious with a virus it is estimated that they may shed one hundred billion virus particles a day — that works out at about ten million per breath. A mask won’t stop you putting these particles into the air around you. In fact, with a damp mask you’ll be blowing aerosols and larger particles sideways, directly at your socially distanced colleagues two metres away. And if wearing a mask tempts you to feel that you’re not going to infect anyone else, you may also be less likely to observe the two-metre rule. So does wearing a mask protect others if you’re infectious? There’s little direct evidence to say that it does, and quite a lot of straightforward reasoning to suggest it doesn’t.

Yes, I concede, that if I were ill and I coughed or sneezed in your direction, a face covering would reduce the risk of those droplets hitting you. But I know when a cough or sneeze is coming on me. And, as I ALWAYS do, I will cough and sneeze into my arm and away from you. This is common sense and common practice, at least where I live. I do not need to be told to wear a mask for this eventuality.

4  Wearing a mask negatively affects my health.

Not only does the mask not protect me or you, it weakens my health. This also is common sense. Let’s think what we’re doing when we wear a face covering:

  • we’re restricting the flow of our air and oxygen, thereby reducing the amount of oxygen we can take in.
  • we’re breathing a higher concentration of our own pathogens that accumulate on the inside of the mask.
  • we’re constantly forced to adjust and touch the potentially sweaty, pathogen-filled thing.
5  Acquiescence to mask-wearing puts me in a weakened and compromised position and makes me more vulnerable to more onerous restrictions and requirements.

If I surrender here, why wouldn’t I surrender more later. Yes, the mask is just ‘soft tyranny,’ but it’s a ‘softening up’ for the real tyranny that may happen later. If I can’t stand up against this soft tyranny, how will I ever have the courage and faith to resist if or when the tanks start to roll? Specifically, when the vaccine finally rolls out, if you hadn’t noticed, that will likely be a major fight. We must be in a strong position, seasoned and tested, to effectively and faithfully fight.[9] Baby steps first.

6  Acquiescence to mask-wearing is subjection to psychological manipulation intended to silence and deface us.

The mask itself is emblematic. What does it do? Yes, its supposed purpose is to protect us and others from the virus. But it also covers our mouth and a good part of our face. It makes it harder to speak (and for others to listen) and it blurs our identity. The mask is a subtle subjugation and degradation of our speech. And it is a subtle destruction of our individuality and identity. The mask is forcing us to lose our individuality and become just another masked face in the crowd. The mask fosters crowd dynamics and propels you to withdraw into the crowd, which in turn, makes it much more difficult to think and act as an individual.

The world and the devil want to silence and destroy us. Requiring a mask is a menacing attempt at both. There’s much more to be said about this, but I’ll reserve that for another article.

7  Acquiescence to mask-wearing is subjection to further social separation and anonymity.

You may not see it or believe it, but the mask’s symbolic power psychologically affects us. The governing authorities know this, but never speak of it; rather, it’s only about stopping the virus.

Georgio Agamben again:

It is evident — and government authorities themselves do not cease to remind us of it — that so-called “social distancing” will become the model of politics that awaits us, and that (as representatives of a so-called “task force” announced, whose members are in an obvious conflict of interest with the role that they are expected to exercise) advantage will be taken of this distancing to substitute digital technological apparatuses everywhere in place of human physicality, which as such becomes suspect of contagion (political contagion, let it be understood).

In other words, masking and social separations will become normal and are becoming a major reason to substitute normal, physical contact with digital simulations. We are being conditioned to think that human contact is dirty and an unnecessary, avoidable source of contagion. We are being biased to think that it would be safer to switch to the ‘good-enough’ digital technologies so as to avoid the potential contagion of physical contact.

The mask, along with social distancing, are powerful tools to separate and divide people and groups and create mistrust and isolation. And isolation is always the most powerful tool in the mind controller’s tool box. The transhumanist movement, which is the hidden hand of the present crisis, seeks to suppress real human contact and replace it with its digital ‘equivalent.’

8  Acquiescence to mask-wearing is subjection to the violation of bodily sovereignty and autonomy.

What our would-be controllers ultimately want is direct control over our bodies. The transhumanist movement falsely promises to refashion the human body to ‘overcome’ its inherent weaknesses and vulnerabilities, even its vulnerability to, and the inevitability of, death. This is the ultimate endgame of the devil and his world: to offer us a false salvation primarily through technology and especially medical technology.

The closer that the world powers can get to your body and tell you what to do with your body, and what to put on and put in your body, the closer they are to their ultimate goal. Our quiet acquiescence moves them closer. This is an unprecedented violation; as far as I know, never before has any governing authority ever ordered the general population to wear anything or to cover the face. The Nazis, for example, ordered the Jews to wear a gold star, but not the entire population.

You may say that I’m over-reacting, that I’m making ‘a mountain out of a mole hill’ and taking this small requirement way too seriously. But then why this intense insistence on wearing a mask? Why are they pushing so hard? Why so many millions spent on trying to change our attitudes and behaviors?

Make no mistake – the growing insistence on wearing a mask is a careful calculation intended to move us in a particular direction, to intentionally weaken us, to further subjugate us and to herd us into a hive-mind mentality and behavior. Do not underestimate the power and control gained by acquiescence to this order.

As difficult as it may seem at the present here in July 2020, there are many indications that the requirement to wear masks is NOT going away. Whether it will be successful or not, the governing elite will try to make mask wearing in some ways permanent, at least in public spaces, in office buildings, government buildings, in schools, in restaurants and bars. The distressing thing is, to accomplish this, it seems the fear propaganda will have to ramp up to an even higher pitch.

The order to wear a mask is an apparently insignificant, easily-acceptable and rationalizable order BECAUSE the first tyrannical order MUST be small; otherwise, it would arouse too much resistance. The governing elite must break down resistance methodically, piece by piece, bit by bit. The mask is just step one.

No doubt, the attempt will also be made to use this as another way to divide us – the mask wearers versus the non-mask wearers. But we must be wise and peaceable; we cannot allow ourselves to descend into an attitude of self-righteousness over our non-mask wearing (if that is what you do) or to ridicule the mask-wearers. We are individuals and each person must decide whether this issue is a ‘hill to die on.’ I have explained why it is something that I will resist. But in the final analysis I lay this issue at the feet of my Savior, the Messiah Jesus.

[1] Who the prime movers are is unknown, although there are obvious ‘front men’ like Anthony Fauci and Bill Gates. The deep state, the media, the elitists, Hollywood producers, the ruling class, predator class, Bilderbergers, CIA, NSA, CDC, etc all are facets/windows into the shadowy underworld of various competing and cooperating mafias.

[5] I believe there is a virus, but the story of the virus and its effects has become wildly distorted and misrepresented.

[6] My personal speculation is that the allowance of face coverings to ‘protect’ from the virus will be relatively short-lived, intentionally so. I predict that at some point it will become obvious that face coverings are not adequate and therefore people will protest against their public use. They will clamor for commercial-grade personal protection equipment (PPE) for the average person. This clamoring will then be used to usher in a more permanent, reusable, mass-producible face mask. And it just so happens that the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) is working on one such device. See http://news.mit.edu/2020/reusable-silicone-rubber-face-mask-0709. If that happens, the stakes will obviously get much higher.
